Positive Utopien?
Die Zeit der großen Gesellschaftsentwürfe (a.k.a. Utopien) ist vorbei. Vorstellungen über eine andere (emanzipatorische) Welt erschöpfen sich oft durch Aufzählungen von Strukturen und Institutionen die zerstört oder überwunden werden sollen (also je nach anti-politischem Schwerpunkt Kapitalismus, Patriachat, Repression, Zivilisation, usw. die Liste ließe sich fast endlos fortsetzen). Werden doch einmal Entwürfe dargelegt, wird oft sinngemäß entgegnet ‚dass die Welt von morgen / nach der Revolution / nach dem Aufstand von jenen gestaltet werden sollte, die sie erleben‘ (no na net möchte man sagen) oder dass Entwürfe avantgardistisch seien und nach einem 5-Jahresplan riechen. Aber sind das vielleicht allzu bequeme Positionen? Möchte man sich nicht angreifbar machen? Möchte man sich keine Gedanken darüber machen? Können nicht auch positive* Utopien und Entwürfe auch unsere eigene Kritik schärfen? Darüber und darüber hinaus wollen wir diskutieren. Als Einleitung werden ganz kurz zwei kürzlich veröffentlichte (recht konkrete) Entwürfe vorgestellt.
(*positiv im Sinne von was man haben möchte, nicht als Negation, also was man ablehnt)
Positive Utopias?
The era of grand social concepts (a.k.a. utopias) is over. Ideas about a different (emancipatory) world are often exhausted in lists of structures and institutions that need to be destroyed or overcome (e.g., capitalism, patriarchy, oppression, civilisation, etc., depending on the anti-political orientation, the list could be continued almost endlessly). When blueprints are put forward, the response is often that ‘the world of tomorrow / after the revolution / after the uprising should be shaped by those who experience it’ (well, ‘what else?’, you might say) or that blueprints are avant-garde and smell of a five-year plan. But are these perhaps all too comfortable positions? Do we not want to make ourselves vulnerable and targets of criticism by others? Don’t we want to think about it? Can’t positive* utopias and designs also sharpen our own criticism? We want to discuss this and more. As an introduction, two recently published (very concrete) drafts will be presented very briefly.
(*’positive’ in the sense of what one would like to have, not as a negation, i.e., what one rejects)
17.00 Antimilitarismus und Patriarchat: Workshop, Diskussion auf Grundlage der Broschüre “Gegen jeden Krieg!” (2. überarbeitete Fassung Februar 2024) Deutsch (whisper translations possible)
Die „45 Thesen und ein paar klitzekleine Anmerkungen“ behandeln den Zusammenhang von Patriarchat, Krieg, die Konstruktion sozialer Geschlechter, toxische Männlichkeit und Militarismus anhand vieler aktueller Beispiele.
Die Broschüre versteht sich als Diskussionsbeitrag, der nicht als abgeschlossen zu betrachten ist. Laut Vorwort gehe es darum, schnellstmöglich in eine größere Handlungsfähigkeit zu kommen und orientierende Punkte zu setzen, die sich im Laufe der Diskussion und Praxis verändern können. “Es war absehbar, dass mitten während des Schreibens der permanente Krieg dynamisch weiter anwachsen würde. So ist es nun auch.”
“Wir sehen keine andere Alternative, als soziale Zusammenhänge zu schaffen und dazu zu ermuntern, fundamental Krieg, Militarismus und jedweder Herrschaft das Wasser abzugraben. Wir reden sozialen Zusammenhängen das Wort. (…) Es geht um nichts weniger als die soziale Revolution! ”
Die Broschüre liegt bei der Bookfair auf und ist in der Anarchistischen Bibliothek non grata erhältlich.

The “45 Thesis and a few notes” cover the relations of Patriachy, War, Gender, toxic masculinity and Militarism on the basis of many current Examples. The brochure understands iteself as a contribution to the discussion that is not to be seen as finished. According to the introduction it is vital to get a bigger capacity to act as soon as possible and set orientating points, which can change during Discussion and Praxis. “It was prdictable that during the writing process war would continue to grow dynamically. That’s the case now.” “We don’t see an alternative other than to build social relations and to encourage to cut off the water resources of War, Militarism and all kinds of domination. It’s about social relations. (…) It’s about nothing less than social revolution!”
19.00 Dystopischer Kurzfilm Eunomia + Diskussion (Deutsch / English)
Eine junge Nonne übernimmt im Jahr 2045 gegen ihren Willen die Führung eines spirituell verwahrlosten Klosters. Die Felder sind vertrocknet, Essen und Wasser sind knapp und marodierende Söldner bedrohen den letzten Zufluchtsort. Die überforderte, wütende Nonne versucht sich und die anarchistische Gemeinschaft zu retten.
Dystopian Film Eunomia + Discussion (German/ English)
A young nun is forced to take over the running of a spiritually neglected monastary. The fields have run dry, food and water are spare and marauding soldiers are threathing the last refuge. The overwhelmed angry nun tries to save the anarchist community.
